arh stats, unfortunately your stats rely on current committed projects and don't account for the projects in the pipeline which haven't reached FID.
Your numbers for 2018 say from now until then NO further projects will progress in Australia, which is highly unlikely and a good source for this is the BREE report just out in April

please pay particular attention to page 34 and 35.
They in fact have total investment still predicted to peak during 2014 at $310b.
LNG/Gas projects skew the numbers with $205b committed, compared to just $22b for Iron Ore and $14b for Coal.
