You can't compare a takeover to selling one project; they're completely different. As you pointed out LKE mentioned the Lithium X takeover to highlight the potential value of their projects, not to suggest they could sell Kachi to fund exploration elsewhere.
I agree that development isn't always the best move, but it still makes no sense to sell an early stage project with encouraging results to fund exploration on an earlier stage project with no results.
