AJLD,
I disagree. Share prices invariably lead the announcements not follow them. Why do you think that the volume of the Boart buyers is double that of the sellers right now. Boart fell much more than any of its peers and I think it is likely to be the first of the drillers to turn around in price if the improving conditions in gold and mining share prices stay with us.
Our CEO has a record of making his first year in a company the worst one with massive writedowns and I am hoping that we will see some signs of levelling off or turning around in the second quarter accounts. Boart has a lot of its work (around 40%) in North America and their weather was atrocious in the first quarter of 2014. From what I can see the weather and the economies there have been much better in the June quarter. What I hope to see is a break even operating cash flow in that second quarter. If that does happen then punters will reconsider the massive sell out on the shares in this company.
But again, I would say that shareholders are likely to anticipate this than actually wait to read about it.
