Further to this, the information received by the companies selected might be a simple as receiving an 'Invitation to Participate' in the RFP/RFT. Although it is something to get excited about when DXN are selected.... the hard yards would be ahead of them to get a slurp of the oozing contents of the NSW Govt gravy boat Gig State program.
EOI acceptance is not a guarantee of contracted work, that would be the next step, but a possibility of 10-15 years of service and on going IT maintenance is what I am excited about.- hehe my wheelhouse
In the end having any slice of the contracted tender pie and being on the NSW Govt books means you are permanently on the radar and not only for NSW .... ensuring you meet deadlines, SLAs etc.... it would be on their resume for other tenders Oz wide.
