Redflow tried manufacturing just over the border in Mexico to gain better access to the US market (via NAFTA), must have been around 5 years ago. It didn't end well unfortunately - they were expensive to make and the quality was almost company-destroying.
Would need to be a huge opportunity to make them consider trying again, but if the US current project turns out well and leads to more large-scale projects I guess thet might take another look. Less risk of IP theft than some other countries!
