Gilead add dozens of compounds to their patents in conjunction with their own drugs so that they can do clinical trials with those compounds in the mix. HIV will be beaten using at least four compounds by the looks of things. One of those compounds is probably not invented yet. The compounds that they have patented with 225 are to attack HIV.
