I do think some people miss the point of this trial .
not sure if it matters hugely that the market for covid 19 disappers or doesnt appear , the fact is the blast has been given the opportunity to do a v v quick trial that will hopefully lead to a quick approval . The implications are enormous as ,depending on who you speak to , the number of ards cases in the usa is between 30k and 60k . Then you have the rest of the world .
of course what we are seeing in japan is an awful lot of off label use . The number of inflammatory diseases are huge and an unmet need .... RA ,pancreatitis , diabetic nephropathy, crohns etc ...... . You would have thought the fda would be much more willing to see accelerated trials for these indications if the ards trial works .
just a thought .
