I certainly not a huge fan of the libs, but I do think that if Julia is returned there will be such a bunfight that the new Government will not last long before there is a second election.
A lot of opposition to various Swan and Gillard plans has gone quiet, because the opposers are waiting and hoping. But if their worst fears are confirmed, there will be a huge reaction. That combined with the in-fighting that will occur between Rudd, Gillard, Ferguson, and a lot of unlected power brokers, will ensure that Australia will be virtually rudderless for a period.
There are a lot of egos as big as houses that will just not lie down quietly.
