    Bloody hell, Dust, where are you coming from?

    The issue died down because the ALP apologised and the Liberal Party, quite rightly, stopped pursuing it. Of course Labor 'left it at that'.

    On the other hand, Alan Jones's comments ran and ran and ran - despite his apology - because Labour didn't 'leave it at that". They kept at it and at it in the pursuit of political gain.

    IMO, both incidents were regrettable but both should have been allowed to die down after the apology.
