I find your raising the boat people issue in this thread totally distasteful but I must respond to some of your comments.

I am against the RSPT but my family (including me) came here in 1965 from the U.K. PAID FOR BY THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT (except for ten pounds each for my parants). Also, we had other relatives come here from the U.K. who were put up in migrant hostels and given social security benefits until they found jobs.

In fact, very few migrants to this country paid their own way or were not helped by the Australian government in some way when they arrived.

Also, please learn how to spell queue (sorry for being picky with this but I am feling a bit upset after reading your posts).
