Iron mike, Julia Gillard is no longer our PM; she's history that is being raked over at great risk to those doing the raking! Public perceptions are that she has already been crucified, going further will make her a martyr!
As for what was done to Kevin Rudd, it seems we may never know what really happened but most Australians have judged Julia Gillard harshly for the role she played therein. Unlike Peter Costello, Gillard wasn't without ticker and self-belief and apparently leapt at the first opportunity that presented itself.
As for comparing Tony Abbott's government to Gillard's; one delivered Australia through the GFC almost unscathed - World's strongest economy, AAA rated, tackling climate change, investing for the future, wealthiest people on Earth. The other appears to be plunging Australia into recession even though other developed nations are now powering up; impoverishing our youth and consigning them to lengthening dole queues and greater debt while transferring wealth to those who already have very well-lined pockets - it's a shocker!
