Whilst seeing the treatment as abhorent, it is not realistic to turn the tap off.
Common sense would have dictated a period of 'get your act together' and this could have been sold to the public as strong action whilst defending our livelihoods.

It must be said that most of TV audience are not going to be too impressed at watching a bolt gun or other means being used either.
Bills will keep coming for farmers and some will go to the wall, taking businesses and staff for the ride.
I am staggered if Government agencies did not know about this, this is the question that should be answered.
