When Tony Abbott's noddies & speedos were exposed many HC posters expressed outrage at journalists. Today when rudeness & ignorance is used to insult the PM they are applauded.
The reality is that Australia is very poorly served by its media.
While we talk of high standards, great expectations, demand greater flexibility & productivity etc the only player never really subjected to scrutiny is our self-serving, rude, almost monopolistic, somewhat amateurish & lazy media.
Good on Julia Gillard for calling the the journalist to order; pity whe didn't behave like that from the first day she became PM.
