I am a little cautious on the leadership issue & RSPT.

Certainly Gillard has the ability to change or drop it when Rudd did not. Swan, though is the true believer, and as deputy could fight it hard.

If Gillard does walk from the tax, then the credibility of labor economic management is shot, unless she cuts spending and/or boosts revenue. (A hard thing to do for a member of the left faction).
