I would guess that her somewhat questionable past and of course her treacherous character, were principle reasons for her selection as puppet-PM by the shady, backroom, faceless union bosses who own and control the labor party...
With such an apparently "compromised" history that would have likely been well known to the union bosses, she could be easily controlled unlike the "independently wealthy due to a fabulously rich wife" Rudd...
Similarly with her what seems to be proven treacherous nature she was an ideal person for the low and nefarious activities the union bosses and their irresponsible green socialist comrades had planned for the captive Australian population...
A puppet PM is primarily placed in that position by the backroom controllers to comically and contraversally dance and prance for the public while the real business of looting and pillaging goes on behind the scenes at full speed...
And of course she makes an easy fall-guy/patsy, if needed, to take the heat when the shakey socialist house of cards finally collapses although I would not hold my breath for that one...
