You are correct, but why would anyone have her chairing the GPE? Her record on education spending (amongst other things) is appalling. I guess waste may well be a hallmark of the GPE! I would much rather the Australian Government, through the Foreign Affairs Department manage this money in South East Asia itself. At least the Government will be accountable for miss spending money, how will the GPE be made accountable by the Australian taxpayer?
