Revenue from the mining tax should never have been counted anywhere, until it was passed and secured. Any business that counted its chickens before the eggs were laid and then complained would be branded as grossly irresponsible.
Ask any farmer who has been a flood victim. I know of one personally who had just commenced harvesting at a rate of $400 per acre. Now all of his remaining $1.5m crop is blackened rubbish, value zero. Just as well he did not spend the money he expected to receive. Which is what the Government is doing.
I wish they would just MANAGE. At present they are struck with inertia, basically just getting in the road of business and people who DO manage, and just want to get on with it.
