Can't be bothered arguing with ritards so hitting the sack but this sums it up well.
"Referring to the Home Insulation Scheme as the “Pink Batts” programme firstly is ridiculous. Any brand of Batts had nothing whatsoever to do with any of the deaths.
Any decent business adhering to correct OH&S practices would not let their workers into roofs if the temp was over 30 degrees - which is how one of the people died. The other 3 died because they were using metal staples to hold down foil laid over roof beams which had electrical wiring passing over them. What a blatant & idiotic disregard for employee safety.
All those people died because their employers ignored basic safety principles - which is a work place safety issue, not a government one. To blame the government is plain ridiculous. As ridiculous as blaming the Transport Minister for the death of a guy falling onto the road as he was standing on the bonnet of a moving car. The person themselves and the driver of the car are at fault. Yes the Home Insulation Scheme was a government programme, but so is Defence and the Road system etc - should we blame every Minister for every death that occurs in their portfolio?"
