    But then labor are only in government by a very fragile thread.

    If Gillard gets bumped from the top job, she could decide to resign and force a by election.

    It seems that a few such as Gillard and Rudd could be holding their own party to ransom. No matter how badly they perform, no-one is game to topple this very fragile house of cards.
