Even if $5,000 was put into Gillards bank account by that bloke so what. They were in a defacto relationship at the time and couples do transfer money to each other for various reasons sometimes.
You would need to know exactly what this transaction, presuming it took place, was for before you could make any allegations of impropriety.
And I don't think thats ever going to be known.
