Well, just got back from moving peoples' stuff (and people) to high ground, and find the Gillard thread from "General" has been totally moderated.
The moderator asked for "restraint and consideration" for a bit of pathetic rhetoric, which the media presumably felt obliged to air as it was our PM speaking to the nation. You've got to be kidding!! She was just mopping up valuable time which should have been spent, from local transmitters, broadcasting INFORMATION, like how high and when the waters are likely to peak.
Bligh, by contrast, was a model of conciseness, detail and compassion when she came on (aired on radio as well, heard her in the car). Never been so impressed by her.
