I'm sorry for Gillard but I have to agree with everybody so far. I'm sorry because she did her best, it's just that she's not up to the position and her Labor premier colleague has made her look accordingly.
Anna Bligh has been very impressive - I'm from Victoria so have no experience of her government. She speaks about what's happening with relief, not as somebody said earlier like Gillard giving us heights of rivers and platitudes and cliches about how tough we all are.
She may be in a no-win situation because Bligh sucked all the oxygen out of what needed to be said but she just doesn't cut it as a leader.
