Similarly it was Gillard who failed to understand that when she makes an election promise, and repeats it again and again claiming it is a solemn fixed promise, then after the opposition claims that she intends to break her election promise if elected again claims that she will uphold her election pledge of no carbon dioxide tax, then that is a non-negotiable promise for the term of government...

The greenies had no where else to go in any case since they would only have formed a governmemt with their fellow socialist comrade-in-arms in labor and so had no bargaining position at all...
