I think most voted green as a protest vote and don't support them at all let alone even knew what they stood for. They see green and envoroment...oh ok...that is a safe vote then.
I know because I had two of my children do it as that was the 'group' thinking with all their mates.
Wouldn't vote labor and couldn't vote Abbott.
Greens will be decimated next election imo unless the youth remain ignorant
