    Cerhob,Im surprised you would have such a view. I would have thought that you would realise that all that will happen is that Labor will get more of its agenda through as it will be slightly more palatable to the Greens than the Coalition approach. You would recall that John Howard was only able to get his GST up by doing a deal with another minor Party, the Australian Democrats. The Government need not concede much to the Greens as anything outrageous proposed by any minor party or independent Senators will be outvoted by both Labor and Liberal Senators.

    The Greens will know they have to take a pragmatic approach as they know that bringing down Labor would simply make themselves more irrelevant.
