    Thanks for your reasoned approach.

Cycles are undeniable and I feel so more than ever after 30 years of trading and study of history.

I do feel governments are consequential to those cycles.

Simplistically we can say social concerns take over in good times and economics take over in bad times.

The point is WE THE PUBLIC chose our governments on these TIMES.

I agree that pruning and changing of politicians should happen BUT is not in the nature of things.

I think the shafting of Rudd was weird and still don't get it. However I am not convinced a repeat would work.

I do laugh when some suggest Labor is out for decades when they lose.

A week is a long time in politics they say and rightly so.

It is a blessing we have a choice and keeps them on their toes, so to speak.

I think there have been great advances from both Libs and Labs in recent decades.

Personally I voted Lib most of my life but Lab lately.

So I can live with whatever but its nice to to have that battle between purely economic and social concerns.

We have this antipathy about 3rd and 4th parties involved but worldwide it seems it is becoming more the norm.

In the end, I am encouraged NOT discouraged by political machinations.

I used to think NO party affiliations would be best but seems unlikely.

I think we will survive and bad times are just as usefull as good times.

Funny isn't it that hard times produce the good memories.

The hard times are when families and societies unite. I remember when I walked backward with no shoes in the snow for 3 hours to go to school.....
