Smith is articulated and calm in his presentation, arguably too bland to ever be a PM. He has never to my knowledge engaged in the low ball gutter talk Gillard, Swan, Wong, Emmerson and that other peanut (who's name escapes me) has.
He has to his credit shown a great deal of decency while working along side toe rag politicians.
Smith was handed a poisoned chalice in the defence ministry ... and it's the gutless and uninformed Labor supporters calling for Turnbull when indeed Smith is their man. Gillard has them blinded.
