The amazing thing in this case is that the HRC thought there was a case to answer form the comments made by the students, one comment was a criticism of the QUT the other a sarcastic remark , none directed at the complainant, surely a political show trial by the HRC that has backfired, I agree with pugsley to the extent that there should be more rigirous ! evaluation of the merits of a case before proceeding. These students were not even notified of the case until just before they were called (summoned) to answer the charges, a delay if my memory is correct, of about 18 months!!!!!! not the actions of an effecient operation.
