Agree NKLEX....Test Cricket is exactly that.....a real test. Fantastic stuff.
It's amazing how a game that appears to drift along so slowly can actually change so quickly in terms of ascendancy. Plus the challenge of having to grind out an innings or go about trying to dismiss a batsman.
Let's just hope that this great sport is able to survive the frenzy of modern living. The daily sell out crowds in this series suggest that Test Cricket is still appreciated by many, provided that the contest is up to standard.
20/20 cricket is flourishing at the moment, but I don't think it has a great life expectancy....like one day cricket.....too predictable....too much of the same. I wouldn't care less if I never saw another game of it.
People who don't like Test Cricket generally haven't taken the time to understand its amazing qualities, which is understandable. But they don't know what they're missing.
