Its common practice to P&A exploration wells regardless of the result. LT SE well was a probe and not designed to be a production well. The pre drill environmental submission by BHP/Esso stated that LT SE would be P&A'd.
Although details from BHP are scant, its a positive for BAS's Judith permit that a discovery occurred in the adjacent permit targeting the same structure.
