Depends where you look. I live in a prosperous coastal town full of active, happy people. Every morning from October to April, I see beautiful, fit, self-respecting women (mainly, but not exclusively 'Anglo') swimming, jogging, walking (often with pram). Most have a good healthy womanly shape and revel in it.

Look at any girly mag like Zoo (my son used to bring home from building sites, honest) and you'll see that men generally prefer fairly full figured women - definitely not skinny. It's some women who pressure others into eating disorders and body image issues via Womens Mags. Don't blame men!
