nordesmic,
I'm newer to this stock than you. The rig probably doesn't have enough air (I'm not sure). The diamond rig should answer more questions but will be more expensive as well.
A couple of things I noted from the announcement. The mineralisation is described as primary so there is nothing stopping the deposits (I say deposits because it looks to me to be shaping up as separate deposits that might be able to be mined from one large open pit) persisting at depth. That is, supergene (surface) enrichment is not the cause of the mineralisation in the majority of the drill intersections so we should expect that the established grades in existing holes will continue as long as the structural controls allow.
I have a very small worry about the association with pyrite noted in the report. This should be great for exploration purposes as we can use EM techniques to help map out the deposits but I remember a case from the early 90s in the Pilbara in WA were early investors got a nasty surprise after they discovered that their great new deposit turned out to contain refractory ore.
Having bought more today I shouldn't really mention that. But as small investors we always need to keep on our toes and not go overboard until all the stars really start to align.
One thing I've learnt through a very hard lesson I learnt in the past is that if you think you might have identified a good thing there is no sense in quibbling over a few tenths of cents when coming into the market. You don't want to have regrets years later and be haunted by one tenth or two tenths of a cent like I still am over another company I missed out on.
Still a lot of risks here and there are sellers starting to come out of the woodworks this afternoon which is surprising.
I think todays announcement is reason enough to increase my holdings. But slow and steady always wins the race.
