    ok. I tend to view enlightenment in the religious or philosophical sense, as in the end of the potential for suffering (regardless of the outer circumstance). And whilst most religions don't move their flock in that direction, I suspect some of the founders of religions may have known how to do that. May have! There is a logic to it at least.

    If that aspect doesn't play out for the planet, I agree technology will probably get us there.
