I just spent 10 days overseas with no internet (self imposed) and it was fantastic, I didn't miss HC one bit. However, I did leave the day after the TOL was issued which relieved a lot of anxiety and meant I didn't need to check in every 10 mins to see if there were any new developments. Now that I am back I have realised how much crap is on here, and that in the past I was guilty of contributing to that crap and always wanting to say my bit (which I am guilty of now I suppose but only because I think it will help others and help clean things up).
If I can offer one bit of advice to others it is switch off for a couple of weeks, or if you can't do that then watch and at least refrain from posting unless you have new information to share rather than opinion. Now that I am back I only spend 5 mins every other day looking at the top quality posts and ignoring everything else.
If you are long like me pulling yourself away and not feeling the need to rebut every single comment posted is medicine for the soul.
