We all know VPNs allow people to access Netflix. The easy solution is written in most of the articles. Block VPNs from accessing these sights. They can easily do this if they wished to. People would just be required to not use a VPN when accessing so their IP can be seen
There are legitimate reasons to use VPNs including privacy. There are business VPNs, you can create a VPN yourself. There is no way of tracking all legitimate and illegitimate VPNs. New ones popup up all the time from all sorts of countries. I'd love to see governments push for loss of privacy by disallowing VPNs especially in a rights-crazy country like the US. There is no easy solution as you suggest. I haven't read one article that adequately addresses a fool-proof way of blocking VPNs. Additionally there are other non-VPN ways of tricking origin as well.
