I am interested to see how long those vaccines take to produce, their efficacy and how willing people are to trust by then.
Before COVID my money was on an antibiotic resistant bacteria outbreak or influenza strain. The antibiotic resistance is an interesting one to look at. A European study I read in 2018 put the disability and life years lost to antibiotic resistant bacteria as "Our finding of 170 DALYs per 100000 population issimilar to the combined burden of three major infectiousdiseases (influenza, tuberculosis, and HIV). Pretty hard-core stuff.
