"Another point: Has anyone seriously considered what an absolute coup it was to bring over the entire management team from Marshala?
From experience I'm stating that had we not have done this we would have direct and indirect costs of at least 150% of the value of the annual wages of these guys simply to get capable staff in place...and we would not have filled all of the positions inside 9 months!
As deals go, Marshala is the ultimate "heaven on a stick" because we not only got the physical resources at a knock down price, we got the brain resources as well.
Someone performed extraordinarily well on our behalf. They deserve to be compensated for their efforts here and also to encourage them to see the entire Marshala project through.
Honestly, people who vote against the incentive scheme are spitting into the breeze! Dumb stuff. Think medium term.
Socialism is dead because it never worked. All managers are NOT equal.
The good ones deliver a RESULT and deserve to get REWARDED.
The worse thing we can do is hire a dud manager and pay him what he is worth so that he stays!!!!
DT should get paid well and if he doesn't show results within a given time parameter out he goes. Until then...support and encourage him."
