Wow. And here am I thinking all these CEO's are born with a silver spoon in their mouth and no inkling of life on struggle street.
Actually I knew this about Mike. There was a good article on him in the WA Mining Club annual a couple of years ago. he grew up in Canada, his father was a fitter in a textile plant who left school in year 9 to support his family.
It appears Mike had a typically working class background with a drug addled brother.
Good on him for his success.
I shall support this worthy cause.
