Your experience with CMC is an almost identical mirror image of mine with them.
I perservered with them for almost 8 months and ended up about 5K poorer on the CFD front. The FX trades; commodity trades; currency trades (not to mention the share trades) gave me a record keeping headache and kept me up trading late at night.
I was continually frustated by the Market Maker requotes and the vicious stop hunts - only to see the price reverse and trend in a favourable direction (but after i had been taken out)
Nup ... I would not recommend them to my worst enemy (it woud be to cruel).
