And not to miss his chance to gain the spotlight the former yesterdays man Keating added: "Self-regulation of newspapers in Australia as ??a joke??.
He said there should be stronger laws so people did not have to go to a newspaper-funded press council to appeal about invasions of their privacy. He told the ABC?s Lateline, "In the end, the only regulator of this bad behaviour is the law."
