They're altering the perception of value by throwing in goodies to get people thinking they're getting something for nothing. Reality is, having those extras thrown in is no compensation for paying what is obviously a too high a price. Imagine what someone is able to buy with the spare change should they buy that house at market value, and not what the owner wants it to sell for!
