look what happened to Glencore after DRC announced the new mining code, they had to halt the production till the price rise again as it didn’t make any sense for them to keep producing due to rise of production cost.
the problem of investing in DRC is there, they can change whatever if they can take advantage from it, then what’s the point of SEZ if it’s changeable anytime? I doubt DRC will give AVZ exemption from those tax haul as it won’t make any sense to have the new mining code applied for other companies?
Probably Manono looks juicy for DRC because from DRC’s view, foreign company will come into their country with lots of cash and roads will be built for free, large stakes of tax will be paid, DRC will have full control of it.
