Spodumene Ore Concentrate (SOC) is not Direct Ship Ore (DSO).
Ore sorting post primary and secondary crushing upgrades the Spodumene con to 1.5% to 1.7% Li20
That puts it into a different price point as the Chinese converter doesn't have to do any more work to it as its clean enough to feed straight into their Plant.
The PFS they talked about i would think is for the SOC program. This should come with an SOC ore reserve as well.
The SOC program would then feed the new Plant (once it's built) a clean high grade product that could further reduce the processing costs or produce a SC6 Spod con.
SOC also helps pay for the new plant along with the pre-pay off-takes.
I think this is called de-risking the project before you commit the big bucks.
