Respectfully, I'm not sure how long you've been investing but valuation absolutely matters based on the commodity.
Look at the multipes applied to IO miners? Very cyclical.
Even better, look at coal miners? Absolute cash cows but priced incredibly low.
Then ask yourself why the disconnect?
Sentiment matters. ESG matters. Funds have boxes that need to be ticked.
