Chaps , i think there may be some news due from the GLADE project as Mr George Bauk, mentioned they had commenced drilling in december quarter 2007 ....we MUST be due for a report on the drilling of this project....im picking this may be the next announcement ....below is an overview of the GLADEJ/V with LYNX...........results of the drilling overue...cheers JAM

The Glade Project is located in rolling topography in SW Colorado near the Four Corners area. The area is an historic uranium mining district known as the Colorado Plateau, a district estimated by the USGS to host 60 million tons of U3O8. The area is easily accessible by road from Denver and Salt Lake City. The current land position at Glade comprises 35.2 km2

The Target is a bulk minable tabular sandstone type U3O8 deposit such as the Mt. Taylor deposit in New Mexico USA.

Interest in the Glade project is a joint venture with Lynx1 LLC of Colorado. Western Metals holds 52% equity in the project, earning an additional 2% participating interest in the Glade Project Joint Venture for each US$100,000 of expenditure to a maximum of 80%. Lynx1’s equity can be converted to NSR at an advanced stage of exploration.

The Geology of the Glade Project is predominantly Mid-Jurassic Salt Wash sandstone (~100m thick), lying under Brushy Basin sandstone that is unconformably(?) overlain by Cretaceous Dakota sandstone. Salt Wash hosted ores are tabular, occurring in fluvial and lacustrine sands with extensive lateral hydraulic conductivity. Historically, uranium and vanadium ores have been produced from both the Salt Wash and Brushy Basin members of the Morrison Fm.

Salt Wash occurrences tend to be large and locally high grade. Volcanic material deposited in the overlying Brushy Basin Sequence devitrified following burial and released uranium and vanadium into the underlying Salt Wash pore waters.

The United States, with its secure business environment and established nuclear power industry, remains an attractive place in which to do uranium exploration and production. There is a growing acceptance in the US that nuclear power has a role to play in the fight against global warming.

Uranium Prices continue to hover near historical highs due to the fundamental demand-supply imbalance. Future prices should remain high due to the alternative that nuclear power provides to CO2 producing power generation as well as organic growth and a dearth of uranium mining projects in the pipeline. The increased demand comes as new mine supply of uranium is running at only two-thirds of demand.

People from Western Metals’ JV partner, Lynx1 LLC, have combined experience of over 35 years in uranium exploration and public policy. Western Metals’ exploration team will manage the program going forward with the cooperation of the JV partners Lynx1 LLC.

The 2008 Work Plan at the Glade project is designed to move the project to the discovery of anomalous uranium in the target stratigraphy. This will be done by using geology and radiometrics to focus a widespread drilling programme and follow-up.
