boatboy, I keep telling people that if you have not lived in Europe, (ignoring England) I mean live there not just as a visitor, you have not experienced real life. To go shopping at the local open air markets, to go to the local cafe, bar, tabac which means you get to talk to the locals. They gently correct your grammar and your pronounciation and apologise for not being able to speak English to you. In France when they find out you are from Oz and not the UK or USA, you are elevated to hero status, thanks to our soldiers in WW1. Fred.
