Are you a shareholder in NSX RFM Poultry? (RFM Poultry). The poultry team are a listed company and considering the vagaries of agriculture it's not that out of the extraordinary for bird infections to occur in 3 out of 147? Sheds.
personally i hoped it hadn't occurred either, but, i've been buying the shares since it dropped 40%

Yes, unfortunately. However, the infection is not my main gripe - and per their missives that issue was already dealt with back in February I think. Here's what bugs me:
    - On 6 February, it was announced that after tax loss is forecast at $0.32m and the two remaining distributions for the year would subsequently be halved
    - On 27 February it was reiterated that the the forecast loss would be $0.44m before tax and $0.32m after tax
    - On 25 March, the company revised loss forecast to $0.77m before tax and $0.56m after tax, with the remaining distributions unchanged (halved)
    • this means a $0.33m increase to the before tax loss forecast (a 75% increase to what was forecast a mere month earlier)
    - On 23 May, the company announced a forecast loss of $1.27m before tax and $0.92m after tax and nil distribution for the rest of the year
    • this constitutes a $0.5m before tax loss increase (65%) to what was forecast two months earlier
    - On 29 July, a revised pre-audit FY19 loss of $1.93m before tax and $1.41m after tax is announced
    • again, we're witnessing a $0.66m before tax loss increase (52%) to what was communicated two months earlier

Reported profit for FY18 was $0.62m. On 5 September 2018 the company stated as follows:
"The forecast profit before tax for FY19 is consistent with the FY18 result. The forecast profit after tax is slightly different due to the change in the corporate tax rate. Forecast FY19 profit is: $0.88m before tax and $0.64m after tax."

So, from budgeted $0.64m after tax profit in Sept '18 they turned to forecasting loss in Feb '19, and the after tax losses increased from $0.32m to $1.41m in five months. I don't understand how this would be possible with proper planning (planned repairs, maintenance and upkeep) and proper management of people.
