r75 Not trying to be negative but I have a problem with 5 meaning anything. The steady state outcome is for the water in the well to return to the underlying water level. Currently this water is where it is because of the underlying gas pressure. As gas leaks into the well it will bubble to the top, increasing the gas pressure at the top of the well, and the will force the water down.
Unfortunately, as soon as they open the tap, water will be forced back up.
