Billysnap, i take your point, but that can happen in any takeover scenario. Also, BTR is a totally different fish to MRE, which was once a darling $5 stock reduced to a basket case intra/post GFC. It became a sitting duck, and without an additional suitor was easy pickings.
BTR is in a different situation altogether! besides Perkoa, they are attracting HUGE interest from the market both big & small, over what they have found at Mumbwa. The market would never allow Glencore to scalp BTR. Any accumulation by them, will be greeted with the same vigorous response that the market gave today!
