Is Oz in the market for a proven mine? Glencore wrote the Cobar copper mine down by $110m to $370m last year. That sounds within reach.
"The Cobar mine employs more than 300 people in central western NSW and produced 24,800 tonnes of copper in concentrate and 239,000 ounces of silver during the six months to June 30."
I can't locate a resource estimate for Cobar so cannot judge whether it is worth it. The mine has been worked for a long time and is currently 1.5 km underground.
Would any miners on this thread care to educate us?
